the Irish National Liberation Army
an illegal paramilitary organization (=a group like an unofficial army) in Northern Ireland, which wants the two parts of Ireland to be united and uses violent methods to achieve its aims. Unlike the IRA, the INLA did not support the Northern Ireland peace talks of 1996-98 or the peace agreement of 1998.
