Little Boy Blue
a character in a nursery rhyme (=an old song or poem for young children). He is a young boy who is dressed in blue and goes to sleep instead of taking care of the cows and sheep. The rhyme goes: Little Boy Blue, come blow your horn,/The sheep's in the meadow, the cow's in the corn;/But where is the boy that looks after the sheep?/He's under a haycock, fast asleep.
