From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishWinehouse, AmyAmy WinehouseWine·house, A·my /ˈwaɪnhaʊs, ˈeɪmi/   (1983-2011) a British singer whose music was a mixture of jazz, soul, and R&B. She made just two albums while she was alive: Frank (2003) and Back to Black (2006). She had problems with alcohol and drugs, and died at the age of 27.
