From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishDisraeli, BenjaminBenjamin DisraeliDis‧rae‧li, Ben‧ja‧min /dɪzˈreɪli, ˈbendʒəmɪn/  (1804–81) a British politician in the conservative party who was prime minister of the UK in 1868 and from 1874 to 1880. He also wrote several novels, including Sybil.
