From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary Englishbiocharbi‧o‧char /ˈbaɪəʊˌtʃɑː $ -oʊˌtʃɑːr/ noun [uncountable]  charcoal made from biological waste. It can be used to improve soil, or used as a way of storing carbon rather than letting it into the atmosphere.
