From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishBroadcasting Complaints Commission, thethe Broadcasting Complaints CommissionˌBroadcasting Comˈplaints Comˌmission, the  in the past, a group of people who dealt with complaints about radio or television programmes in the UK. It was replaced by the Broadcasting Standards Commission in 1997, which was itself replaced by Ofcom in 2003.
