Capulets and Montagues, the

From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishCapulets and Montagues, thethe Capulets and MontaguesCap‧u‧lets and Mon‧ta‧gues, the /ˌkæpjələts ənd ˈmɒntəɡjuːz $ -ˈmɑːn-/  two families in the play romeo and juliet by William shakespeare. The Capulets are Juliet's family and the Montagues are Romeo's. The two families hate each other, so Romeo and Juliet have to get married secretly.
