Changing of the Guard, the

From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishChanging of the Guard, thethe Changing of the GuardˌChanging of the ˈGuard, the  a ceremony that takes place regularly outside Buckingham Palace in London, in which the soldiers guarding the palace are replaced by others. The guards wear red uniforms and bearskins (=tall black fur hats).
