From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishBukowski, CharlesCharles BukowskiBu‧kow‧ski, Charles /buːˈkaʊski/  (1920–94) a US writer, born in Germany, who wrote several novels, short stories, and collections of poetry. His work often shows both anger and humour. His novels include Post Office and Ham on Rye, and his best-known short story collection is called Erections, Ejaculations, Exhibitions, and General Tales of Ordinary Madness.
