Clause Four

From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishClause FourˌClause ˈFour  a part of the constitution of the British Labour Party, which formerly included the statement that the Party supported the socialist idea that industries should be owned by the government. Clause Four was rewritten in 1995 and this statement was removed.
