Comic Relief

From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishComic ReliefˌComic Reˈlief  a British charity organization which was started by professional comedians. Every two years on a particular day special events and a special television programme are organized in order to collect money to help people in the UK and other countries. Many people do silly activities to make money and buy plastic red noses to show their support, and because of this, Comic Relief Day is also called Red Nose Day.
