From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary Englishcut-and-come-againˌcut-and-ˌcome-aˈgain adjective [only before noun]  a cut-and-come-again salad plant is one whose leaves you pick to eat without pulling up the whole plant, so that it can continue to grow more leaves
