Dartington Hall

From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishDartington HallDar‧ting‧ton Hall /ˌdɑːtɪŋtən ˈhɔːl $ ˌdɑːr-/  the name of a school and a music college in Devon, southwest England. The school, which closed in 1990, was famous for its progressive methods, and many left-wing politicians, artists, and writers sent their children there. The music college has an important summer school, where people go to be taught by famous musicians.
