From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishCameron, DavidDavid CameronCam·er·on, David /ˈkæmərən, ˈdeɪvɪd/   (1966-) a British politician who became UK prime minister in May 2010. He is the leader of a coalition government in which the Conservative Party and the Liberal Democrats share power. He was educated at Eton College and Oxford University before joining the Conservative Party’s Research Department. In 2005 he became leader of the Conservative Party and Leader of the Opposition.
