From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary Englishde-policingde-po‧lic‧ing, depolicing /ˌdiːpəˈliːsɪŋ/ noun [uncountable]  a way of keeping control over an area in which the police deliberately ignore small crimes by members of ethnic minorities (ethnic minority) so that they are not accused of racism (=treating members of a particular race unfairly)
