Milliband, Ed

From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishMilliband, EdEd MillibandMil‧li‧band, Ed /ˈmɪlɪbænd, ed/  (1969-) a British politician who became Leader of the Labour Party in 2010. He is the brother of David Milliband, another Labour politician, who he defeated in the election for Labour leader. He was educated at Oxford University and worked as a TV journalist. Later, the prime minister Gordon Brown made him secretary of state for Energy and Climate Change.
