From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishExmoorEx‧moor /ˈeksmɔː, -mʊə $ -mɔːr, -mʊr/  a moor (=area of open country with rough grass and low bushes, but no farmland) in Devon and Somerset in southwest England, known for its wild ponies (pony =a small horse). It is a National Park and is popular with tourists.
