Puskas, Ferenc

From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishPuskas, FerencFerenc PuskasPus‧kas, Fer‧enc /ˈpʊʃkæʃ, ˈferentʃ/  (1927–2006) a Hungarian footballer who is considered to be one of the greatest players of all time. He is known especially for having played for the Hungarian national team that beat England in 1953. They were the first team to beat the English national team in England, and it has become one of the most famous football games ever played.
