Fields, Gracie

From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishFields, GracieGracie FieldsFields, Gra‧cie /fiːldz, ˈɡreɪsi/  (1898–1979) a British singer and actress from Lancashire in northwest England, who was very popular in the 1930s and 1940s, and was known as ‘Our Gracie’. Her song Wish Me Luck as You Wave Me Goodbye was especially popular during World War II.
