Hereford and Worcester

From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishHereford and WorcesterˌHereford and ˈWorcester  a former county (=area of a country that has its own government to deal with local matters) in the West of central England. In 1998 Hereford and Worcester was divided into two separate counties called Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
