Laurie, Hugh

From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishLaurie, HughHugh LaurieLaur‧ie, Hugh /ˈlɒri, hjuː $ ˈlɔːri-/  (1959-) an English actor, comedian, and musician. He worked with Stephen Fry in the 1980s and 1990s on various television series including Blackadder, A Bit of Fry and Laurie, and Jeeves and Wooster. He has appeared in several films including the Stuart Little films (1999,2002, and 2006). In 2004 he began playing the part of Dr Gregory House in the US TV medical drama House. Laurie can play several musical instruments and he made a record called Let Them Talk in 2011.
