From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishCocker, JarvisJarvis CockerCock‧er, Jar‧vis /ˈkɒkə, ˈdʒɑːvɪs $ ˈkɑːker, ˈdʒɑːr-/  (1963–) a tall, very thin British singer and songwriter formerly with the pop group Pulp. His songs include Common People and Sorted For Es and Whizz. He is also known for interrupting a performance by Michael Jackson at the Brit Awards in 1996.
