From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishGacy, John WayneJohn Wayne GacyGa‧cy, John Wayne /ˈɡeɪsi/  (1942–94) a US building contractor who murdered 33 boys between 1972 and 1978 and placed some bodies beneath his house near chicago, and buried others in his garden. He was found guilty of these crimes in 1980, and in 1994 he was executed (=killed as a punishment).
