From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishMajorcaMa‧jor‧ca /məˈjɔːkə, -ˈdʒɔː- $ -ɔːr-/  a Spanish island in the west Mediterranean Sea, the largest of the balearic islands, which is very popular with tourists. In the UK, it is often thought of as a place where many people go for inexpensive holidays.
