From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishLee, PeggyPeggy LeeLee, Peg‧gy /ˈpeɡi/  (1920–2002) a US singer and actress who is known for her low, sexy voice. She sang with the Benny Goodman band in the 1940s and many of her songs are well known, including Fever, Big Spender, and The Way You Look Tonight.
