Spector, Phil

From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishSpector, PhilPhil SpectorSpec‧tor, Phil /ˈspektə, fɪl $ -tər/  (1940–) a US record producer and songwriter, who had an important influence on pop music in the 1960s. He produced songs for bands such as the Crystals and the Ronettes, and developed what was called ‘the wall of sound’ which he used on their records.
