predeterminerpre‧de‧ter‧min‧er /ˌpriːdɪˈtɜːmənə $ -ˈtɜːrmənər/ noun [countable]  technicalSLG a word that is used before a determiner (=a word such as ‘the’, ‘that’, ‘his’ etc). In the phrases ‘all the boys’ and ‘both his parents’, the words ‘all’ and ‘both’ are predeterminers.
