From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishPSATPSAT /ˈpiː sæt/ noun  (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test) an examination that US students take to prepare for the SAT. It is usually taken during the third year at high school, at about the age of 17. Students who do well in the PSAT may win a National Merit Scholarship.
