From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishFrost, RobertRobert FrostFrost, Ro‧bert /ˈrɒbət $ ˈrɑːbərt/ 🔊 🔊 (1874–1963) an American writer who is considered by many people to be the greatest American poet of the 20th century. He is known for his poems about life in the country, especially in New England. He won the Pulitzer Prize for poetry four times.
