Cook, Robin

From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishCook, RobinRobin CookCook, Robin  (1946–2005) a British politician in the Labour Party, who was Foreign Secretary (=the minister in charge of the UK's relations with other countries) from 1997 to 2001. He was leader of the House of Commons from 2001 to 2003 until he resigned because he did not support the government's decision to go to war with Iraq.
