Laver, Rod

From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishLaver, RodRod LaverLa‧ver, Rod /ˈleɪvə $ -vər/  (1938–) an Australian tennis player who is regarded as one of the best male players ever. He won the four most important men's competitions, an achievement called the Grand Slam, in 1962 and 1969, and is the only player to do this twice.
