Doyle, Roddy

From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishDoyle, RoddyRoddy DoyleDoyle, Rod‧dy /dɔɪl, ˈrɒdi $ ˈrɑː-/  (1958–) an Irish writer whose novels deal humorously with the lives of working-class people living in Dublin. They include The Commitments, which is also a successful film, and Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha, which won the Booker Prize in 1993.
