From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishRugratsRug‧rats /ˈrʌɡræts/ trademark  a former children's cartoon shown on television, about a group of very young children in the US. They all played together, and they always imagined they were involved in exciting adventures, even though they were really doing ordinary activities. It was broadcast from 1991 until 2004, and there were two films The Rugrats Movie (1998) and Rugrats in Paris (2000).
