Combs, Sean

From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishCombs, SeanSean CombsCombs, Sean /kuːmz, ʃɔːn $ ʃɒːn/  (1969-) a US rapper and record producer who was born in New York. He first used the name Puff Daddy, but later changed this to Diddy or P. Diddy. Combs runs his own record company which has produced records for musicians such as Notorious B.I.G., Mariah Carey, and Mary J. Blige. His own albums include No Way Out (1997), Press Play (2006), and Last Train to Paris (2010). His successful singles include Can’t Nobody Hold me Down (1997), I’ll Be Missing You (1997), and I Need a Girl (Part One) (2002). He also has his own range of clothes and owns a chain of restaurants.
