Lewis, Sinclair

From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishLewis, SinclairSinclair LewisLewis, Sinclair  (1885–1951) a US writer of novels, best known for main street, babbitt, and Elmer Gantry. He is known for making fun of life in small US towns, and some of his books have been made into films. He won the Nobel prize for literature in 1930.
