Through the Looking-Glass

From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishThrough the Looking-GlassˌThrough the ˈLooking-Glass  (1872) a book for children by Lewis carroll in which the main character, Alice, a little girl, visits a strange world by stepping through a mirror.
