From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishTwenty20Twen‧ty20 /ˌtwenti ˈtwenti/ noun [uncountable]  a type of cricket competition in which teams play against each other in short matches of only twenty overs for each side. Twenty20 was introduced in England in 2003 and has since become popular in many parts of the world.
