Ursa Major

From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishUrsa MajorUr‧sa Ma‧jor /ˌɜːsə ˈmeɪdʒə $ ˌɜːrsə ˈmeɪdʒər/ (also the Great Bear) 🔊 🔊 a large constellation (=group of stars) near the North Pole, which can easily be seen from Earth. The seven brightest stars in Ursa Major are called the Plough (in the UK) or the Big Dipper (in the US).
