Heisenberg, Werner

From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishHeisenberg, WernerWerner HeisenbergHei‧sen‧berg, Wer‧ner /ˈhaɪzənbɜːɡ, ˈveənə $ -bɜːrɡ, ˈvernər/  (1901–76) a German physicist who studied the behaviour of atoms, and won a Nobel prize. He is best known for developing the Uncertainty Principle.
