Hague, William

From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishHague, WilliamWilliam HagueHague, William  (1961–) a British politician who was leader of the Conservative Party from 1997 to 2001, and who has held other important positions such as Foreign Secretary and First Secretary of State. He was the youngest leader for over 200 years. He became famous when he was 16 and gave a speech at the Conservative Party conference.
